John Deere 'B' Tractor Page

When we got the 1947 John Deere 'B' tractor, the front tires were shot, the crankcase and tranny were filled with mostly water, and the carburator had some lovely goo in it. After months of weekend work, here it is ready to be moved the 13.5 miles to it's new site. We opted to drive it as moving the wheels in far enough to get it on a trailer would have taken longer than the hour 1/2 needed to drive 13.5 miles.

We made it to it's new location. We will place it in the barn as soon as we cut a hole in the side of the barn big enough for the tractor. Notice how plumb the support is for our 'lean to'. We have also acquired a 6' mower (on left) which hopefully will see some use this summer.

Dad and Jeff Try to get the 3 point hitch hooked up.

Right: As Jeff put it..."Here comes Farmer Dave"

Sometime you have to pull your other vehicle out of the mud.

We now have an assortment of equipment we are using for the tractor. Most of it is borrowed from many friends. We bought a 3 point hitch assembly and got everything working well.
