I picked up The Great Race Home II Travel Bug in Westerville, OH at the Alum' lookin'
along this creek cache.
The box was well hidden and it took us a while to find it.
We did, and The Great Race Home II is off on its' journey home. |

Such a long drive for such
a little car to go. |
|

|
Fortunately, he had a
window seat. Though a couple times he ended up sliding forward as we
had to hit the brakes.
I know it is hard to see, but the sign on the bridge says
Illinois. |
|

|
The text didn't come out on
this one, but about a mile West of Effingham, Illinois is a nice
rest area. The westbound side has this nice play area for the
kids. Race cars go mighty fast down the slide as shown here.
No cars were hurt in the making of this picture. |
|

|
The weather turned bad and
the traffic snarled as we headed across the bridge to Missouri. |

Can you tell I used my

We stopped in Springfield,
Mo. for the night and picked up a companion. Hello Kitty has logged
over 6000 miles by this date. She is a veteran.
Again. You can't read the sign from the camera view. It
says Oklahoma. |

We weren't hungry at this
point, but everyone claimed to need a bathroom break.. And if
you look close at the gauges below, the van needed gas.
This McDonalds is also a Phillips 66 gas station. If you stay on
the road, you get to drive right under it, though I always
seem to end up going to the side of it to go in or get gas. |
|

|
They claim this is the
largest McDonalds there is. It is if you consider the Square
Footage. But seat wise, there are bigger. I won't argue
with them and let them claim it.
To the left, right next to the McDonalds sign is a statue of Will
Rogers. |
