A very easy to find Ammo Box

When I hid the other two caches in this park (The Attache' and Tape Backup), I put everything in one ready made cache ammo box to carry. 3 cache containers (one heavy), my label maker, some tools, my cell phone, etc. I lugged this thing around between the stages of the other caches and finally was heading back to the car. It kept getting heavier and heavier. Since it was already ready to be a cache itself, I took my cell phone and tools out and tossed it under the nearest cacheable tree.

Finding it will be easy. Feel free to hide it a little better near the same tree if you wish. Think of it as a bonus cache to the other two in this park.

I can't tell what is going on with this cache location. Either construction or paintball, or both. Cache is missing. It will not be replaced.

We looked long an hard for this one. Once on the way out and again on the way back. There appears to be recent activity in the area, orange flags; and the city has been trimming, and mulching tree limbs in the area. Notified Alkulakat; could be we're just so new at this.

Almost logged this as a no-find . Our previous 2 caches were no finds ... we needed an easy one to lift our spirits ... lo and behold ... an 'easy' Akulakat cache ... isn't that any oxymoron? ... easy ... Akulakat! At the cache before this, it was getting dark and the frustration had set in ... we couldn't find that stupid 35 mm canister! So, we needed a quick one ... we had some flashlights, so off we went.

Arriving on site, it was dark. I recognized the area cause it was where the second stage of 2 Fathoms was located. We found a trail. Brightaye didn't have a flashlight, em13ob and I did; onduli was behind with lil cacher. So we look for a while. Brightaye takes the flashlight, looks for 2 minutes and emerges: HUCKLEBUCKLEBEANSTALK! Ok, so we go to the last place she was looking. She stands back and lets em13ob and I look for a good 5 minutes ... then she says, 'Are you sure you are looking at the right tree?' ... enjoying every bit of it. DOH! So we go explore some more ... another 5 minutes ... em13ob emerges with a find ... i'm still looking ... finally, i spot it! I'm sure this one would have been a lot easier in the daytime. Thanks for the confidence booster ... and brightaye probably thanks you for the good laugh she enjoyed at our expense!

Well, *I* (Brighteye) thought this was easy. Grimlock, Onduli, and EM13ob, maybe not so much.

TNLN, and we were all glad for a (fairly) easy cache after the day we had today. Thanks!

First of 5 attempted today.

Easy find. GPS put me between two possible spots, a re-boot clarified the reading. Nice park, well-hidden as described. Very muddy after Friday’s rain.

We were hunting down the piggy travel bug, but were too late. Would've been happy with Hopper's geocoin, but we didn't see it in the box. Instead, we took a fine treasure - Bitsy The Pink Walrus. Left a super bouncy ball. Signed log.

Our second find during our cache madness for the area. Was approaching the cache and a gentleman came out of the trees and introduced himself as HedgeHopper. We finished this cache together, after which we gladly accepted a gift from a new friend. We went on to enjoy Tape Back Up together. Cool cache, thanks for putting it out.

Nice meeting and doing the cache with you, HedgeHopper!

We decided to try for our 10th find before we started on our road trip today. After eating lunch in one of our favorite restaurants, we went in search of the cache. After sitting in the warm restaurant and my car, I'd forgotten it was really cold outside, so.. I left my coat in the car.

We found the cache, and then realized that we'd left our geocaching bag in the car, so I had an excuse to run back to the car without having to say I forgot my jacket in 30 degree weather ;). Having lived in Louisiana most of my life, I had never really appreciated at how hard it is to write when you're wearing gloves that are a bit big, but we did sign the log book.

Since we're traveling, we also picked up the convict travelbug.

We need a CITO event here. We could spend all day here and still not get all the trash out. The paintballers just ignore the signs and play anyway. Too many new paintballs as proof. TN L/new Texas tiger wooden coin.

found this really quick. alot of other people must have as well. the place it is at has alot of signs of traffic. I thought about moving it but wasnt sure if I should so I didnt.Lots of signs of paint-ballers. notice they just posted new signs keeping them out. is a shame to have such a nice park get so trashed.

This one was relatively straight forward. Saw the warning about paintballing. The area not far from there has certainly been repainted all sorts of wonderful colors, not to mention part of the creek has become a landfill. Otherwise a neat little park well concealed from the road. TNLNSL. Thanks.

The cache was better hidden when we came along. Those last 10 feet were some serious bushwhackin'! Managed to retrieve cache from it's WELL-HIDDEN location. We had left a geocard and were taking pictures when we saw a group approaching. When I was replacing the cache, we hear a young man say "I'm gonna go sign my name" and we realize they're caching. I call out "cachers?" and get a yes. We introduce ourselves and met some cachers out on their first outing. They're scouts and wanted to try geocaching, and it seems they were doing just fine. They had just came from Tape Backup where we were going. Anyway, I wasn't all the way into the hiding place yet, so I placed the cache maybe 2 feet further out than where I'd retrieved it, cause man it looked like it was tossed pret-ty far back in there! When we were talking to the new cachers I explained this and asked them to put it further back in. Let's hope we see them around in the future! Thanks for the cache Mike!
