Aaron and I found this one the hard way...we crossed the
creek and couldn't get up the other side, then we
crossed on a fallen log ... only to discover that the
cache had been muggled!
Thanks for the adventure even though the actual cache
was gone...

I think this is supposed to be easy and it would be my
second attempt at a multi-cache involving a first stage
at a bridge ... I think it must be something to do with
the bridge! We'll try again!

With some help and assurance from Akulakat, we found
finally found it. It is amazing that you can be looking
at the exact spot where it should be and not see it.
Stage 1 gave us the problem. Stage 2 was a breeze. FTF

I think Akulakat needs to get a different job. He has
far to much time on his hands to plan diabolical
containers or placements.
This was a simple container but a devil of a
placement.
We found the first stage pretty quickly. Then we made
the same mistake as everyone else.
We decided to wait on the final stage and go get the
other three down the creek. This cache was a lot of work
;-o

I thought that I was going to make 30 runs at this
cache. Stage one was horrible for me. Like BCR I am 6
feet plus tall. He said quit crying about getting my
knees dirty, get down and look. I followed BCR's
instructions and found stage one a few feet from where I
looked the first time. After finding stage two, went
home, thought that my vision was off, only to discover
that I had lost my glasses. Had to go back and do the
cache again. LOL. This time it was quicker since I knew
where stage one was.

At 8:45AM. 15 minutes... Start to finish. Even a bad
attempt on wrong side of creek included. The stage 1
coordinates were on the exact side that I started
looking on the previous visit. Just didn't get down that
far on previous visit.
I had been planning on using the location about 50'
NE of the final location in a cache, but hadn't gotten
to it yet. I had must have walked within 3' of the final
location on Saturday morning. But I was checking to see
if the final was where I thought it might have been,
instead of looking along the way. I don't think I would
have seen it anyway, since it is nicely hidden.
Thanks for the cache!!!

Success thanks to an updated clue! Our gps was off by
about 60 feet for some reason, which led us to
concentrate on the wrong side of the bridge. (Time for
an upgrade I would say
).
In any case, both stages went off without a hitch today.
Loads of fun for both the kids and us.

Well we decided to come up here and give this bridge a
try. We found it without too much problem once we
figured out where North East was! Then we did a couple
of back tracks to finally find the easy way to the
final. Very nice hide! I'm glad it wasn't a flounder!

Okay. Here goes.
I was going to go out and place several other
coordinates labels under the bridge so it should be
easier...BUT I took a cacher with me (Akulakat TOO) who
knew nothing of the cache other than it existed. I gave
her the clues that I have on the page right
now....nothing more other than a trio of kids hindering
her more than anything.
She found it in probably 90 seconds, 2 minutes tops. I
mentinoned that I was going to add more stickers, and
she vetoed it saying that would definitely be too easy.
I know those who attempted the cache today did not
have these same clues, so I hope they help you out.

Ok, Mike and Brad, we understand now. Our profuse
apologies. We'll never hide another bridge cache again.
Not that much bridge there, yeah right. Last night, we
decided to increase the difficulty by searching with
small penlights in the dark. I can tell you, there's a
BUNCH of bridge there doing it that way. We slept late
as promised, and arrived around 11:30 sure that somebody
had already found it. Fortunately, there was more light
this time. We didn't need the hint because we had
THOROUGHLY searched every surface. Unfortunately, a mere
THOROUGH search was insufficient to find these coords.
We executed a METICULOUS and SYSTEMATIC search, and
finally found the highly camoflaged coords. Don't let
that stuff about plain sight fool you - it's true, but
still hard! The coords blend in more than perfectly with
their surroundings.
Ok, enough ranting. The rest of the cache was normal
and enjoyable. Found an empty terrapin carapace (email
us if you really want to know what that is) near the
final cache. It was good to see Akulakat had salvaged
and refurbished the old "Pop Goes the Weasel" container
- it's better than new! T/carapace and the FTF prize - a
very cool Zippo tape measure. L/Geocard, Mexicali
Keychain/Bottle Opener, and kicked off the empty log
with our signature.
Thanks for the cache!

We ran into Astrojr1 and G-O-GardenerGal on our way in,
after their successful hunt (Congrats to them!
),
but alas no luck for us. Stage 1 proved tough to find.
We searched for a half hour or so until the kids got
restless. We'll make another run at it soon.

Hurray. We have a FTF. Astrojr1 and G-O-GardenerGal have
found it, but are celebrating with TexMex. Perhaps I
need to go into the Dapper Dan Business of hiding
caches.
I'm going out there around 4:30 or so to 'add' a few
more sets of coordinates to stage 1. That way you'll be
able to find one easier. LOL. I didn't think this was
that hard since there isn't much bridge there. If you
want to meet me there, that would be fine. I should only
be there for about 10 minutes.
If you haven't decrypted the latest hints or read the
latest description, I don't know what else I should do
to give it away.

I got there about 6:40AM. I looked for about 10 minutes.
I guess I wasn't in the mood for looking much,
especially after I read AstroJr1 and G-O GardnerGal's
1.5 hour hunt, there are 2 of them and 1 me so that's a
3 hour hunt for me. They are more thorough hunters than
I am. I'm out to hike and not so much for the detail
hunt. There are a bunch of places to hide coordinates on
a bridge and even worse when the bottom is corrugated.
Knowing the quadrant definitely would help on this one.
I thought about the same thing BCR did, meaning, is
it really on the bridge or somewhere near it.
Be back someday!!!! Thanks for hiding it. I just need
a different mood to find it. I was in the Brawn the mood
today. I struck out there too on the Brawn stage 3.

Slept in until 7am. Fed and dressed the kids. Only took
youngest son with me. Was on site at about 8am and
didn't see kscatfishhunter's truck. Searched under
bridge, mostly on the northeast side, for one of
Akulakat's silver labels while simultaneously keeping an
eye on my 23 month old so he didn't go swimming in the
creek. Gave up after about 30 minutes. Then, spent 15
minutes across the ditch in the southwest field checking
the osage orange trees for the final stage while son
threw hedge apples into the ditch. I built a five foot
tall rock cairn a few hundred feet from stage one. I see
there's now a hint, but too late for me.
A devious hide would be on a tree just a few feet
from the bridge, but there aren't any trees close
enough.
